Greetings all,
At 3 am this fine morning, pumped full of Mountain Dew, I crossed the 50,000 word finish line for my Native American novel "Two Step." The synopsis is a Native American woman from the Oneida tribe who is finding herself, her Higher Power, and true love after a major loss of a relationship. The sheer exhilaration of finally completing such a large sized word project still blows my mind. I am grateful to all my family and friends who sent me words of encouragement, cards, and spent time as I gushed about my story. I am grateful for many things such as my Launchcast Plus radio station that kept me company in the wee hours of the night. For my computer and my printer that held up through the entire writing process. I am grateful for my NaNoWriMo writing buddy whose sage advice and cheerleading support helped me to cross the finish line.
Today is a Thanksgiving worth celebrating for me. A personal accomplishment I never imagined that I would see come true in my life. I am so grateful to Office of Letters and Light, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity for giving me the opportunity to spread my wings and fly by providing this excellent NaNoWriMo service to the writers.
But most importantly, I want to thank my Creator for opening the door of what could be possible. That I as a Native American woman have a voice and that the Creator moved through me to create this work. The inspiration I received from the Creator was often awe inspiring. I spent such an intense amount of time with my Creator exploring the unknown. Searching for answers to so many questions. I am grateful to You for the lessons taught on this journey.
Many Blessings,
Wenona Gardner
