Market Day was FANTASTIC!!
The debut of the CanDo! Creative Arts CO-OP at Market Day attracted so many like-minded spirits this past weekend, no one would believe it unless they had seen it -- I am absolutely thrilled by the turnout and response! We set up a F1T Family "Hot Spot" and were swamped with both kids & parents juggling and playing games together, sampling our Rainbow Wraps featuring Dr. Doug Graham's High Energy Diet salad recipe, making music with the Back Yard Fruit Pickers and the featured performers, not to mention curious folks asking all about the CO-OP from the time we set up our table that morning till dark and beyond!
Chris & Yvonne of Four Corners Market generously offered to store some of our organic produce boxes and split their supply of local Satsuma oranges with us, so that we could have something complementary (pesticide-free citrus) from the produce stand to put on our tray ;-) Our display still needed some work with so much play and other gear to keep on hand, and I have some ideas on how we could have improved upon it. We also met a new friend and former organizer of a local food cooperative which quickly grew to about 60 members while she was at the helm, and she is very interested in our creative "CanDo!" concept. As they say, "Luck is when opportunity meets inspired action!" and we are extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in this special event :D Wonderful things are happening!!
The popularity of the Rainbow Wraps made from large, Romaine leaves and Dr. Graham's favorite party salad tray gave me the idea for an easy to follow low-fat holiday plan based on my own experience with regaining my health & vastly improving my fitness levels this past year.
